The Muscle That Gets Strong Is the One You Use

I ask every guest on my podcast: "What's the best advice you've ever received?" Here's mine: the muscle that gets strong is the one you use.

I haven't been to the gym in months. I used to bench press over 100 pounds. If I went today, I'd probably struggle with half that weight — but I'm still the same person who was capable of doing it months ago.

On the other hand, I've now recorded over 20 episodes of my podcast. I'm far more comfortable on camera now and better at asking questions than when I started.

Most people think they aren't good enough at something when the truth is that they just haven't done it enough. Things like public speaking, writing, networking, and relationships are all muscles.

Your voice is a muscle too. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. Because the world needs your voice.
